Dave Hodapp is an artisan, a craftsman in clay. He has always enjoyed working with his
hands. The sensuality of wheel throwing is what originally drew him in, while the
endless possibilities of shape, texture and color have kept him fascinated. Each piece
that comes out of the kiln, whether from a low temperature raku firing or a high
temperature crystalline glaze firing, is a pathway to something a little different the next
time, a little bit tweaked each time. He hopes never to lose the delight and anticipation
that comes with each firing.
