Sifting through sensorial experiences, remembered and imagined, imagined and
remembered, my work attempts to make tangible the intangible. By layering the loose
energy of gestural strokes, the structured rhythms of lines, and the atmospheric
qualities of color, I aim to distill sensations while opening new visual perspectives. I
work in two and three dimensions using traditional mediums and found objects. Whether
drawing in space or on a surface, the work aims embrace combinations of colors and
textures, and assemble spatial relationship that challenge our experience of the physical
world. Through the work, I hope to engage the viewer’s curiosity as they explore the
work, and by doing so to spark new insights into their own intangible imaginings.
I grew up in Sacramento, California, and have a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from
UC Davis and a Master’s degree in Studio Art from CSU Sacramento.  After college, I
moved to Bari, Italy, where I lived for over 20 years. I’ve participated in solo and
collective shows both nationally and internationally.
